Wisconsin (WQOW) - New report cards will be appearing when students return for classes this fall.
As part of a flexibility waiver the state received from No Child Left Behind, students will now bring home report cards, which use multiple measures to rate student performance. It would include things like student achievement, student growth and post-secondary readiness. Schools will also be evaluated and given a rating.
"By having a uniform accountability measure, we're going to have a better idea of how our school district is performing compared to other school districts. Not only in the state of Wisconsin, but also in the country," said Cadott Superintendent Joe Zydowski.
The DPI is looking for public feedback on the new plan. To check it out or comment on the report, click here.
