Menomonie (WQOW) - The Menomonie Police Department has a new leader.

On Wednesday, the city said Eric Atkinson has accepted the job as chief of police. Atkinson is from Hudson where he was a lieutenant with that city's police department.

Menomonie has been searching for a new police chief for more than two years.
