Eau Claire (Press Release) - Eau Claire Sheriff's deputies, with officers from the Eau
Claire Police Department, will again be providing traffic control and direction
for vehicles entering and exiting the Country Jam vicinity Thursday through
Saturday, July 19-21.
Traffic
flow patterns will remain the same as in past years, with incoming traffic
following normal directional movements. Large
volumes of pedestrian traffic and slow moving vehicular traffic with some
periods of congestion can be expected in the vicinity of the festival
grounds.
The
scheduled time periods that motorists will experience restricted, one-way
traffic flow and direction is during the closing hours of the festival on
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
During these times, both lanes of traffic on Crescent Avenue will be
eastbound only from the festival grounds to Ferry Street, and continue one way north
on Ferry Street
to Short Street,
where it will return to two direction flow.
Two
lanes of one-way traffic will also be in place for westbound only on Curvue
Road (CTH C) from the festival grounds, past the Moose Club to Kane Road.
During
the restricted traffic flow time period, all in-coming traffic shall use West
Cameron Street to south on Town Hall Road to east on Crescent Avenue.
Time
periods for these restricted flow operations are dependant on the show
schedule, and will remain in effect until a majority of the vehicular traffic
has departed, historically in a 1.5 to 2 hour window.
Law
enforcement personnel will be staged at various intersections along the
restricted traffic routes.
