Outdoor burn ban in effect in Buffalo County

Posted:

Buffalo County (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin county is enacting a burn ban.

A countywide burn ban is in effect for Buffalo County because of extremely dry conditions.  The ban includes all outdoor burning and will remain in place until the county gets a decent amount of rain.

Fire danger in Buffalo County is listed as high.  It's also high in Eau Claire, Trempealeau and Jackson counties as well.  The recent rainfall has knocked the fire danger down in most other parts of the state.  The fire danger is low to moderate for a majority of counties.
