Thousands expected to turn out for Country Jam

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Another music festival kicked off Thursday as well.

Country Jam officially started this afternoon. Thousands of people are expected to turn out for the three day Eau Claire music festival. Trace Adkins finishes up day one tonight. Montgomery Gentry headlines Friday night, and Jason Aldean headlines on Saturday night. There are also new things to try, like the Country Club.

"We've got a lot going on that's new on the Country Jam grounds, right behind you is the Mega Holiday Country Club where people can, for a small membership fee, be able to see the artist interviews up close and personal," says Pam Speckien, with Country Jam.

The Eau Claire County Sheriff's department says traffic patterns will be the same as in the past years. Traffic usually backs up about an hour and a half after the last act ends, so plan accordingly.
