Meet The Express: Paul Voelker

Eau Claire (WQOW) -- Pitcher Paul Voelker started the Northwoods League season on a ten-day contract with the Express.

He threw well, but was released when the rest of the full-time guys showed up. Recently, when some roster spots opened up, Voelker was invited back.

"It's going to be a little different, but I know the core group of guys, and everything"says Voelker, "I took a little time off but I think I got my arm ready in the last couple, three weeks, so I'm definitely ready to come in and pitch, and make a statement right away."

Voelker, who's from Edina, Minnesota, says he's enjoyed playing baseball in Eau Claire.

"I was only here for ten days," Voelker says, "so I didn't really experience a whole lot of stuff, but I mean, I got to see the city and everything, it's a great city, I love it here, and I'm just happy I'm back."
