Jail time in drunk driving case where 3 were injured

Posted:

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A drunk driving suspect accused of fleeing a crash and swimming across the Chippewa River to elude police is sentenced in Chippewa County.

Officers later caught Nicholas Wozniak at his home. He was accused of sideswiping a van last November.  Wozniak's SUV then rolled several times. Police said two of his passengers were badly hurt, along with one person in the van.

Wozniak was sentenced this week on that case, and earlier charges. He'll serve six months in jail, and do 300 hours of community service. He also lost his drivers license for three years.
