Wausau (WQOW) -- Eau Claire's road woes continued on Saturday, with the Express falling 5-3 at Athletic Park.
The team is now a league-worst 6-22 on the road. Eau Claire struggled to solve Wisconsin starter Jack Fischer, who allowed just six hits in seven innings of work. Fischer earned the victory for the Woodchucks. Eau Claire starter Bryan Crabb had to leave the game in the 5th inning with an apparent injury. Crabb allowed three runs on six hits in four innings of work.
Manager Dale Varsho and pitcher Devin Moore were ejected from the game in the top of the fourth inning for arguing a controversial runner interference call.
Eau Claire returns to Carson Park Sunday to close out the series with Wisconsin. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
