Sawyer County (Press Release) - On Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 11:13 a.m. the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from an individual at Virgin Timbers Resort on Moose Lake for a possible drowning.
Sawyer County Sheriff's Deputies, Ambulance and Dive Team, along with Round Lake First Responders and Fire Department responded.
Thomas McNally, 68, of Menasha, was on Moose Lake on pontoon with his family. Thomas decided to swim to the shore near Virgin Timbers Resort where he and his family were staying on vacation. Thomas began swimming and was approximately 100 yards from shore when he began having complications and went under.
The Sawyer County Dive Team searched the area of his last location and found his body around 1 p.m.
