Eau Claire (WQOW) - The city of Eau Claire has another title under its belt,
and this time the ranking is for retirement.
AARP the magazine named Eau Claire
one of the ten best cities for retiring on one hundred dollars a day. After
establishing a budget to work with, editors looked at health care, climate, and
overall culture among many other factors.
"What's also interesting
is that some studies have also shown us as a great place to raise young kids,
and young families, and now we have the retirement folks too. So we seem to be
hitting almost everybody lately which is really neat to see. I think everybody
in this community can be proud that we have enough to offer that were ranking
so high on all these studies lately," said Eau Claire City Economic Development
Administrator Mike Schatz.
Other cities on the list include San Antonio, Pittsburgh,
and Omaha.
