Eau Claire (WQOW)-A pair of local fairs are underway in the Chippewa Valley.

The Eau Claire County Junior Fair starts Wednesday.  The event showcases a variety of youth projects from photography to crops and even soil displays.  There are also animal exhibits and judging.

"In our barns we will have judging of goats, exotic animals; we have a camel coming this year and a yak coming this year. Then we'll have dairy and beef and sheep and swine. We'll have a dog show here on Saturday, out agility course, small pet and cat show, we've got it all," Sara Donnerbauer, Eau Claire County Interim 4-H Youth Development.

The fair runs through Sunday at the Eau Claire County Expo Center grounds. The cost is free.

The Dunn County Fair also kicks off Wednesday.  It's at the Dunn County fairgrounds.  There are exhibits, carnival rides and live entertainment.  It also runs through Sunday.
