Madison (WKOW) - The numbers are in for spending on Wisconsin's recall races.
A report released by the Wisconsin
Democracy Campaign finds that Republicans and Governor Walker spent nearly $59 million
dollars. Tom Barrett and his Democratic supporters spent $22 million.
The money spent on Walker's race was more than double the
previous record spending of $37 million dollars in his 2010 campaign.
In total, the government watchdog
group says the 15 recall races in 2011 and this year cost $137 million dollars.
