SEFFNER, Florida (WXOW) - The two escapees from Jackson County are suspects in the robbery and beating of a 71-year-old convenience store clerk near Tampa on Sunday.
James Newman and James Misleveck were arrested by police in Hollywood, Florida on the other side of the state Wednesday morning.
On Sunday evening, surveillance cameras shows two men who appear to be Newman and Misleveck are seen entering the convenience store in Seffner, Florida around 9pm.
The video, which can be seen above, shows one of the men grabbing the clerk. The other man comes around the counter with a knife and forces the clerk to open the cash register. Once the drawer is open, one of the men takes the entire drawer. As he steps away, the other man slams the clerk on the floor and starts beating and kicking him. The other man takes part moments later.
The video shows the pair leaving the store and driving off.
A news release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that the victim is still in the hospital.
