Eau Claire (WQOW) - Jail time is ordered for an area man who was arrested after calling 911 about a shooting that he apparently hallucinated while high on meth.
Darrin Werlein, of Mondovi, called police in January and said someone had apparently been shot. He then fled to a neighbor's house and hid under their bed. Investigators say there was no shooting, and that Werlein had been using meth.
This week he was sentenced for trespassing. He'll serve 10 days in jail. A disorderly conduct charge was dismissed.
