Eau Claire (WQOW)-The county is asking for public input as they work on balancing the 2013 budget.
The Eau Claire County Committee on Finance and Budget is looking for public input on the 2013 budget. The county anticipates a deficit of a little over a million dollars.
They would like public opinion on county operations that affect the next year's budget.
"We're long pass the stage that there are things that we would like to do without, that we don't need to do. It's a matter of what level we do them at and in some instances we have to do without. So that's where the public input is really important," said Jerry Wilkie, Eau Claire County board supervisor.
The public input session will take place Thursday at the Augusta City Hall at 6:30. There will also be another public session at the Le Phillips Memorial Public Library on August 2. You can also submit input on facebook.
