Chicago (WQOW) -- Wisconsin football coach Bret Bielema says he will not recruit players from Penn State's roster.

"I made the decision as a head coach that we would not reach out to any Penn State player," Bielema says, "it's just something I think that what Penn State is going through right now, I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach O'Brien and everything that's he's going forward."

Three Badgers seniors accompany Bielema to the Big Ten Football Media Day: running back Montee Ball, offensive lineman Ricky Wagner, and linebacker Mike Taylor.

Ball, who wants his first name pronounced "mon-TAY" instead of "MON-tee," says expectations remain very high at Wisconsin following back-to-back Rose Bowl trips.

"I plan on performing just the same as I did last year," says Ball, "my goal this year is not to be Superman out on the field, just play my game, play in my shoes, and I believe that'll be enough for this team, and the same for Mike [Taylor] and Ricky {Wagner], all we have to do is be the leaders for this team, and just play our game."
