Police looking for graffiti culprit in Chippewa Falls

Chippewa Falls (WQOW)- Authorities in Chippewa Falls are investigating a graffiti case and are looking for the public's help.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department says someone sprayed inappropriate sexual images, swastikas and marijuana leaves in a pedestrian tunnel under Highway 124 by Southview Elementary School.  The department says damages are estimated at about $2,000.  Those images have been removed from the tunnel. Authorities say they are following a few leads.

"This is something that somebody knows.  Nobody keeps this quiet so hopefully, eventually the right person will come forward and tells us who did it and we'll go from there," says Captain John Liddell with the Chippewa Falls Police Department.

The police are asking for the public's help in finding who sprayed the graffiti.  If you have any information, please call (715) 723-4424.
