Augusta (WQOW) - A local school is hoping they'll
receive a grant that would allow them to add more technology to their
classrooms.
Augusta high school is one of 29 schools in
the state vying for a grant from Monsanto, which is an agricultural company. Area
farmers nominated the school for the grant. If selected, they would receive ten
thousand dollars. The money would go toward purchasing iPads for students to
use.
"Eventually,
hopefully the agricultural department would be able to go 100% paperless then.
It's just a better boost to keep them current on the changing times and the new
technology that's out there," said Augusta FFA advisor Arica Schlough
The decision on which schools will receive
grants will be announced August 28th.
