St. Croix County (WQOW) - A young woman was seriously injured in a crash on I-94.
The crash happened near Hammond just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Wisconsin State Patrol says an SUV traveling eastbound left the roadway and hit a semi in the westbound lane. The driver of the SUV, Emily R. Sadowsky, 22, of Green Bay, was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the semi, Lexie Threshtler Aiken, 47, of Barnwell, South Carolina was not hurt.
The accident happened near the Highway 65 interchange project, but investigators say it was not related to work in the construction zone.

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a car versus semi crash occurred on I-94 westbound, milepost 13, St. Croix County. A 2006 Subaru was traveling eastbound on I-94. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled through the median and into the path of a westbound semi.
While this crash was located near the WIS 65 interchange project, it was not related to work going on in the construction zone.
The driver was the lone occupant and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance with
critical injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
