Menomonie (WQOW) -- The 21st-annual Western Wisconsin Youth Football Camp is Monday and Tuesday, and features a couple of former NFL players.

Former Badgers and Packers quarterback Randy Wright speaks to the campers Monday evening, with former Gophers and St. Louis Rams offensive lineman scheduled to talk Tuesday evening.

"You try and talk to them about football because that's what they're here for," says Wright, "and that's what their excitement is. But we as adults know the things that you can teach them and share with them about character and leadership last a lot longer than some of their football careers may be."

Menomonie H.S. football coach Joe LaBuda is the camp's director, which is for players in grades five through eight.

LaBuda says, "We really have been fortunate with the speakers we get.  It's really great for these kids they get to look up and they get to see Randy Wright on the Big Ten Network as an announcer and they know that he played for the Badgers and the Packers so you know its really a great thing for our kids."
