UPDATE: Semi driver killed in late night crash identified

Dunn Co. (WQOW) - Authorities have identified the driver killed in a late night crash near Menomonie on Tuesday.

Brian Paglusch, 43, of Minnesota was killed when the semi he was driving rear-ended a semi driven by Destry Wilson, 22, of California.

The crash remains under investigation.

Dunn Co. (WQOW) - Yet another life is taken after a late night crash on I-94.

The crash happened near Menomonie just after 11 p.m. Tuesday. According to the State Patrol, two semis were traveling westbound when one rear-ended the other. The collision caused a fire and the driver of the semi who collided into the other rig was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other semi was uninjured. The name of the victim has not been released.

The crash is still under investigation and crews continue to clear the scene. At last check, both westbound lanes of I-94 near Menomonie are still blocked and traffic is being rerouted.  If you're headed in that direction this morning, travel slowly.

Dunn Co. (Press Release) - At 11:15 PM on Tuesday July 31, 2012 a crash occurred on I-94 WB at Mile Post 42.5 in DUNN County near MENOMONIE.

Assisting agencies included Dunn County Sheriff Department, Menomonie Police Department, Dunn County Highway Department, Menomonie Fire Department, and Dept. of Natural Resources.

The crash involved two semis west bound on I-94. Unit 1 was rear ended by unit 2 which resulted in a fire. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. I-94 west bound traffic is currently being rerouted. It is anticipated I-94 westbound traffic will be rerouted until 4:00 am.
The driver of unit two was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of unit one was uninjured. 

Crash is under investigation by the WI State Patrol. Names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
