Eau Claire County (WQOW) – Township fire crews say a young man fell out of a tree into a ravine Wednesday afternoon.
It happened outside a home on Harold Street, off of East Hamilton Avenue in the Town of Washington, in Eau Claire County.
Rescue crews say his injuries were severe enough that he had to be extricated from the ravine. He was carried into the ambulance on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
"Unknown what the distance was that he fell, but he was several feet from the base of the hill and had to be transported up the hill, which required assistance from our special rescue team," says Township Fire Chief Joe Alf.
Rescue crews say the young man did not live at the home. He was visiting a friend.
