Eau Claire (WQOW) - A local
school district will take a second look at the make up of the district's
students.
The Eau Claire Area School District
has plans to update a 2010 study on the districts demographics. The study is
used to help project school enrollment, and other student information. Over the
past two years the district has seen higher than projected growth which has it
looking at an update.
"It
allows us to plan for the future," says school board member Wendy Sue Johnson, "After
Little Red was closed the community message was very clear to the school
district that it was necessary to plan and to know what facility needs we will
have in the future."
District officials
say the study could start at the beginning of the school year. The study will cost the district around
four-thousand dollars.
