Eau Claire (WQOW) - Summer Fest was going on Saturday in downtown Eau Claire. There were classic cars, kids activities, and also a cross fit challenge and a first timer's division of the strongman competition. The goal is to get the crowd more involved in the action.

"Some people that aren't necessarily strong men, they can jump in and right along side the real strong men try their hand at pulling the giant shopping cart and doing the tire flip and all sorts of those activities that the strong men do just kind of on a lower weight level," said event coordinator Salina Heller.

Events continue with local bands playing, and also a family night in the park.
