Search underway for missing Eau Claire rafter

Menominee County (Press Release from the Menominee County Sheriff's Department) - On Saturday, August 4th at 4:30 pm, Menominee County 911 Center received a call reporting a drowning at the Dells area on the Wolf River in the Kenesha area. 

A 39 year old male from Eau Claire, WI entered the water while rafting and failed to surface. 

Menominee County Sheriff's Department, Menominee Tribal Police, Menominee EMS, Keshena, Neopit, Middle Village Fire Departments, and the Shawano Dive Team were immediately dispatched.

They were unable to locate the victim by nightfall and the dive team discontinued their search at that time. 

The search resumed Sunday morning.
