Lake Hallie (WQOW) - A local community could put a mining moratorium into place Monday night.

The Lake Hallie Village Board will vote Monday night on whether to enact a nine month frac sand mining moratorium. Several members of the community requested the board look into a moratorium after concerns were raised about potential frac sand mining projects.

The village says they are not aware of any sand mining proposals at this time.
