Madison (WQOW) -- The Wisconsin football team held its fourth preseason practice and Thursday, and no player has seen an increase in his workload like redshirt freshman Melvin Gordon.
With Montee Ball out for part of the fall camp, Gordon is the Badgers second option at running back behind junior James White. Gordon says the increased workload hasn't changed the way he approaches practice.
"We're taking every day the same. Our coach tells us to come out here and compete whether Montee's here or not," says Gordon. "Coach Hammock preaches competing and working hard and finishing. We are trying to take advantage and take this opportunity to get better so we are working hard but as I said with Montee sitting out or Montee being in the running backs, we're going to work hard regardless."
