Crash kills one person, leaves two others with severe injuries

Jackson County (PRESS RELEASE)- On August 10, 2012 at approximately 7:48 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff's 911 Emergency Dispatch Center received information concerning a two vehicle crash.

The crash was reported to be located at County Highway H and State Highway 54 in the Township of Albion in Jackson County, Wisconsin. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office did respond along with Black River Falls EMS/Fire Department. The Wisconsin State Patrol has been summoned to assist with accident reconstruction.

"Information regarding this crash is sketchy at this time" related Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera. Authorities according to the Sheriff, continue to work at the scene at the time of this release.

The Sheriff's Office is confirming one person has died in the crash and two others have been airlifted to area hospitals to be treated for injuries. Conditions of the surviving two individuals are unknown at this time but they are believed to be critical.

Sheriff Waldera relates that this is the second fatality in Jackson County on this date. Earlier this afternoon, Sheriff's deputies responded to a single motorcycle crash at I-94 and County Highway O.

In that crash Sheriff's officials confirmed the death of a 23 year old Black River Falls man who was operating the motorcycle at the time.
