Eau Claire (WQOW)-A recent tragedy has a local restaurant holding a charity car wash.
Red Robin in Eau Claire is having a car wash Tuesday to help victims and families of the Colorado theater shooting last month.
According to the restaurant's general manager some of the people killed and wounded in the shooting were employees of a Colorado Red Robin restaurant.
"One of our team members lost their lives and about eight others were severely injured and so we're trying to raise funds to take care of medical bills, physical therapy, things that they're enduring out there and that they need help," said Christopher Pirelli, Red Robin general manager. "And when something like this happens in our community or in our company we all rally behind."
The car wash goes until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Red Robin off Highway 93. Other restaurants across the country are also hosting charity car washes.
