Eau Claire (WQOW) - The case against an Eau Claire man charged in a deadly crash will move forward.
A judge on Tuesday found there's enough evidence to indicate Travis Hazelton probably committed a crime. He's charged with homicide for the death of his passenger in a six vehicle crash on Clairemont Avenue last month.
A bartender told police she had refused to serve any more alcohol to Hazelton and had kicked him out of the bar minutes before the crash. Witnesses say he was speeding, driving recklessly, and hanging out the window of his van just moments before hitting the line of cars at a stoplight.
Hazelton will enter a plea to the charges on September 5th.
