Bloomer (WQOW)- Authorities in Bloomer are looking for a suspect they believe is responsible for a string of fires over the past few weeks.
There was a fire at a city-owned shed early Sunday morning. Crews were also called to a fire at Swoboda Implements on Main Street around 1 A.M. Tuesday morning. Investigators believe both could be arson. A.J. Manufacturing is located next to the city shed that caught fire.
"With the city shed going up in flames right behind our facility here, we decided to clean up some of the junk that we've got out here just so that we're not such an easy target until the police catch whoever is doing this," says A.J. Manufacturing CFO Dominic Ryder.
Authorities say they are investigating three other suspicious fires. Applegate on Industrial Boulevard caught fire Monday morning, a dumpster on the fairgrounds on Sunday, and a cattle barn at the fairgrounds on August 1st.
If you have any information on these fires, please contact the Bloomer Police Department.
