Rice Lake (WQOW) - A young girl plays a key role in putting a stop to an alleged
beating of her mother. Rice Lake police say the woman and her fiance
were involved in a domestic dispute early Tuesday morning.
Thor Lindemans allegedly bit her lip, pulled her into a bedroom, hit her and
pinned her down. The woman's 9-year-old daughter said when she
tried to call police Lindemans took the phone out of her hand, pushed
her out of the bedroom, and locked the door.
That's when police
say the child found an old phone, and used it to call 911. When
officers arrived they say Lindemans was still sitting on top of the
woman and pinning her arms down. He is now charged with two felonies.

Rice Lake (Press Release) - On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at approximately 2:49 a.m., Barron County dispatchers advised that a nine-year-old girl called 911, reporting that her mother and her mother's boyfriend were involved in a physical altercation. The girl reported that the boyfriend had pulled her mom into a bedroom and locked the door.
Upon arrival, officers found the caller outside the residence. Officers then entered the home, hearing a female calling out for help from a back bedroom, and subsequently found the female victim behind a locked door with a male sitting on top of her, pinning her down.
The male, age 33, of Rice Lake, was taken into custody without incident.
The victim reported that the couple had gotten into an argument in the yard with a wrestling match ensuing. Officers reported red marks on both of the victim's arms which she stated were caused from being held on the ground by the suspect. She further reported that once inside the home, the suspect pulled her into the bedroom. When the child came in to check on the victim and stated she was going to call 911, the suspect physically took the cell phone away and pushed the child out of the room. The child then found an old cell phone and used it to call 911, then waited for police to arrive outside the residence.
The victim further reported that the suspect had physically removed an article of clothing, pinning her on the bed and refused to let her leave.
The male was transported to the Barron County Jail pending charges of domestic battery, false imprisonment, intimidating a victim with force and 4th degree sexual contact without consent.
The suspect is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Wednesday at 1 p.m.
