Eau Claire (WQOW) - A busy month for area drug investigators leads to five people facing charges connected to marijuana growing operations.
Robert Kosmonas was arrested Tuesday in Rusk County. Investigators say the found 25 marijuana plants growing at his rural Hawkins home.
Charges were also filed this week against a Polk County couple after more than three pounds of packaged marijuana were found at their home in Milltown. Brian Geraghty told investigators he and his wife Theresa had been selling it. He allegedly said it was leftover from 300 plants he grew last year.
Charges were also filed this week against Steven and Beverly Kelley. A state patrol plane looking for marijuana grows in Clark County spotted six plants growing near their Greenwood home. Investigators then placed a hidden camera at the site which allegedly shows the couple watering and harvesting the plants.
