Eau Claire (WQOW) - Expect to see more law enforcement on the roads beginning tomorrow. A national campaign called drive sober or get pulled over starts Friday.
"It's not that we're out there to catch more drunk drivers, "says Lieutenant Jeff Lorentz. "We're out there to prevent this. So we really want people to have good habits and to look at this as a time to reevaluate their habits. So often we get out there and they say 'well I'm not really drunk I'm just buzzed.' Well, if you feel that buzz you're impaired and you don't want to put yourself at risk."
The state patrol will focus on roads near bars especially around closing time. The campaign runs through the Labor Day weekend.
