Chippewa Falls (WQOW)- Just days after a primary election a candidate for U.S. Senate stops in the Chippewa Valley.
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin was in Chippewa Falls Friday for a tour of the W.S. Darley manufacturing plant. Darley makes water pumps and fire fighting equipment. While there, Baldwin had a chance to talk to some of the employees.
"We have seen to many manufacturing jobs leave, we've seen to many plants and mills close. I'm fighting back, leveling the field in terms of international competition, supporting buy American policies, and frankly my opponent has been utterly silent on this important piece of the challenge that lies ahead of us," said Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Senate Candidate.
Baldwin will face off against former governor Tommy Thompson in the November election. The two are eyeing the seat being vacated by long-time senator Herb Kohl.
