Committee moving forward with mental health awareness effort

Chippewa County (WQOW) - Plans to raise awareness about mental health are moving forward in Chippewa County.

A committee has been looking into ways to raise mental health awareness in the community.  During a meeting Thursday night, the group decided to form a speaker's bureau to talk about mental health to other public groups.  The group also plans to tailor what kind of message they want to have over the next few months.

Recently, the committee was awarded more than $5,000 to put towards education, prevention and early intervention.
