Eau Claire (WQOW) - A national gun rights group has
opened a local lobbying office.
The National Rifle Association
opened doors today on a new office at 919
South Hastings Way. The NRA says the group opened
the Hastings Way
office because there's a high concentration of NRA members in the area.
group also says this fall's presidential race could be close in western Wisconsin, so they are
trying to get the word out about pro-gun rights candidates. The group has
recruited around 400 local volunteers to help campaign and hand out literature
on gun rights. The office is one of two in Wisconsin, and it will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the week.
