Man in custody after allegedly stealing and driving car while drunk

Rusk County (WQOW) - One person is in custody after allegedly stealing a car, and then driving it while drunk in Rusk County.

The Ladysmith police department says Dennis Anson was arrested Friday. Someone called police to report a drunk driver that almost hit a number of other cars head on. At the same time, police also received a call that a car had been stolen from the Ladysmith holiday gas station. Callers reported that the car had just entered the Wal-mart parking lot. Anson was arrested after a struggle with police officers. No one was injured. He was taken to jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle without the owners consent, 4th offense OWI, recklessly endangering safety, bail jumping and resisting and obstructing an officer.
