GM and Isuzu recall 258,000 SUVs

Posted:

(ABC News) - General Motors and Isuzu are recalling more than 258,000 SUVs in the U.S. and Canada to fix problems with the power window and door lock switches.

The recall covers the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Isuzu Ascender, and Saab 97-X from 2006 and 2007 model years sold in states where salt and other chemicals are used to clear roads in the winter. The chemicals can cause short circuits that can lead to fires. GM has reports of 28 fires, but is unaware of any injuries caused by the problem.
