Menomonie raises paramedic billing rates

Posted:

Menomonie (WQOW) – Ambulance rates are on their way up in Menomonie.

Monday night, the Menomonie City Council took action on a proposal to raise paramedic billing rates.  Since July, the fire department has been able to provide paramedic-level care.  That's an upgrade. Because of that, the city will raise rates as much as $200.  The fire chief says the increase will bring rates closer to the state average for that level of care.

Also at Monday's meeting the council will discuss rezoning part of the old Leever's Grocery site to allow town houses to be built on the first floor of a proposed development.
