Eau Claire (WQOW) - A store employee is accused of stealing nearly $5,000 from her boss.

Ashley Lehman worked at the Ace Hardware store in Ladysmith. According to investigators she admitted making fake returns to the store and crediting her own credit card for the returns.

The store owners say none of the items listed as returns had ever actually been sold in the first place. Lehman told detectives she did it because she needed money to pay bills.
