Recall: CareBears pacifiers

WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- Federal safety officials are recalling about 119,000 pacifiers over choking concerns.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recall involves CareBears Pacifiers that were sold nationwide between October 2009 and June 2012.

Officials say the pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards. The nipples can depart from the base, posing a choking hazard to young children.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

If your child is using a recalled pacifier, take it away from them immediately. Then, contact IMD Group LLC for instruction on returning it for a full refund.
