Jackson County (WQOW)- Firefighters believe lightning sparked the fire that burned a log home to the ground early Friday morning in Jackson County.
The fire started around 6 a.m. Friday morning. The Adams Township home is a total loss. Officials estimate there is more than $200,000 in damage. No one was home at the time the fire started.
Firefighters had a difficult time fighting flames, because they were in a rural area and away from fire hydrants.
