Washburn Co. (WQOW)- One of two men accused of leading police on a chase across two counties was sentenced Friday.
Back in January, Cody Roberts and another man were caught allegedly shoplifting alcohol at a Rice Lake store.
Police say they then stole a pickup truck and fled. The chase through Barron and Washburn counties hit speeds of a hundred miles an hour. During the chase police say one of the men threw tools and car parts out the window to try to disable pursuing squad cars.
Roberts was sentenced Friday to one year and nine months in jail and must pay restitution.
Charges are still pending against the other suspect Daniel Willette.
