Pilot unharmed after crash landing

Posted:
Chippewa County (WQOW)- Engine problems force a pilot to crash land in a Chippewa County hay field.

It happened on Monday afternoon near the intersection of 125th Ave. and 200th Street in the town of Anson. The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office says the plane, piloted by David Worgernese, had engine problems. Worgernese was attempting to land in a hay field when the plane clipped a corner post of a fence. He was not injured during the landing.

Worgernese is from Eau Claire and said he was just out joy riding for the day. The FAA has been contacted but the sheriff's office says no further investigation will take place.
