Dunn (WQOW) - Prison time is ordered for a western Wisconsin man accused in connection with the drug overdose death of an area woman.
Richard Baier III, from Elmwood, was accused of providing heroin to Amanda Childers. She died of an overdose in her Menomonie home last July. Baier was originally charged with homicide, but Dunn County prosecutors agreed to a reduced charge because Childers also had high levels of methadone in her system and the source of that was unknown. On Monday, Baier was sentenced to two years in prison.
