St. Croix Falls (WQOW)- A western Wisconsin woman will be in court next week on charges of stealing thousands of dollars from the medical center where she worked.
Kristine M. Johnson, from Milltown, worked at the Saint Croix Regional Medical Center in Saint Croix Falls.
Officials there told police they were missing $19,000. The thefts stopped when a visible camera was placed near the money drawer but money started disappearing again when the camera was removed. A hidden camera was then installed. Police then confronted Johnson.
They say she admitted taking some money because she felt under-appreciated, under-paid, and over-worked.
