Sawyer County teen sentenced in bar burglary

Posted:

Sawyer County (WQOW) - One of the teens who were shot by a bar-owner while they were burglarizing the bar is going to jail.

On Monday, Trent Trepania was sentenced to a year behind bars for that burglary and for numerous other crimes.  Trepania is from Winter.

Trepania and Christopher Voight were shot in 2010 by the owner of the Countryside Bar near Hayward.

Both teens were seriously injured.  Voight was shot in the neck and hand and Trepania in the groin and ankle.  A neighbor told reporters the bar had been burglarized several times and the owner was sick-and-tired of being a crime victim.  Voight is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
