Rusk County (WQOW) - Investigators are still receiving complaints of tax fraud and identity theft from employees of an area business, more than four months after taxes were due.
The Rusk County Sheriff's Department says they're still receiving 2-3 complaints a month from Weather Shield employees of tax fraud. We first told you about this story back in February. Current and former employees of the Ladysmith window company tried to file their tax returns, only to find out someone else had already filed under their name. Some of them haven't received their tax returns yet, and have filed complaints with the sheriff's department. Rusk County Sheriff David Kaminski says they're still working with the IRS and the FBI to investigate the complaints.
