Eau Claire (WQOW) - It was definitely a warm day to be doing some moving.
Thousands of students and their parents moved into the dorms at UW-Eau Claire Thursday. And it was definitely uncomfortable temps to be doing some heavy lifting, especially in un-airconditioned dorm rooms. From boxes to futons and more, some had to wait in long lines to use the elevator to get their stuff up to their rooms due to some problems.
"It's been crazy. It's really hot, there's a lot of stuff. I'm on the sixth floor, which isn't the highest, but it's still pretty high to be carrying all of your stuff. One of the elevators is broken, so they just have the one, so you're in line for 15 minutes waiting to get in the elevator. It's easier to just carry stuff up, but then you get all sweaty," says UW-Eau Claire freshman Cassi Malko.
The university says around 4,000 students will move into the dorms this weekend.
